The longest-running immersive theatre show in the UK, The Great Gatsby continues to thrill audiences. We find out five sparkling reasons to see this fabulous production.

1. You can spend an evening with Mr Gatsby and his prestigious guests

The Great Gatsby immersive show allows you to explore Mr Gatsby's famous parties, giving you the opportunity to follow your favourite characters, including Nick Carraway and Daisy Buchanan, on their adventures into smaller rooms and spaces, or even to converse with the illusive Mr Gatsby himself, if you are so lucky! You need only interact as much as you are comfortable to – if you prefer to observe from the side-lines, nobody will mind. In fact, Mr Gatsby often enjoys doing exactly that himself!

2. It's the longest-running immersive theatre show in the UK

The Great Gatsby started its journey with a sold out run at VAULT Festival 2017 and has been going ever since, making it longest-running immersive production in UK history. 'Immersive' means that the environment is designed to deliver an all-encompassing experience. From the moment you enter Gatsby's Drugstore, you will feel like you have been transported to Long Island, back in the roaring 1920s, jazz-age America, and are a guest at Mr Gatsby's opulent party where the drama will unfold around you.

3. Every version of the show is different

There are multiple journeys that you can take in The Great Gatsby, meaning that you can attend Mr Gatsby's party multiple times and have a completely different experience each time.

4. You get to learn the Charleston

Get swept away with the characters and learn to dance the famous dance from the 1920s. It is named after a famous song that was in turn inspired by the distinctive rhythm of music played by dockworkers in Charleston, South Carolina. It is still popular today, and Daisy Buchanan and the other characters will show you how to join in.

5. 1920s dress is encouraged (but not compulsory)

You can get your glad rags on and join a whole party of 'flappers' and sharp cats, sip a cocktail in either of Mr Gatsby's wonderful bars and immerse yourself in jazz-age hedonism.
