Full cast announced for Priscilla Queen of the Desert tour

Full casting has been announced for Priscilla – Queen of the Desert which opens at the Manchester Opera House in August ahead of a national tour.

Joining the previously announced Duncan James and Jason Donovan, who share the role of Tick, will be Simon Green as Bernadette, Adam Bailey as Felicia and Philip Childs as Bob.

Green’s stage credits include the WhatsOnStage award-winning production Titanic (Toronto and Southwark Playhouse) and The Phantom of The Opera (tour). Bailey's credits include Starlight Express and Chicago, whilst Philip Childs is currently starring as Doctor Dillamond in Wicked.

The cast will be completed by Richard Astbury, Rebecca Botterill, Matt Crandon, Peter Cumins, Amy Di Bartolomeo, Martin Harding, Lisa-Marie Holmes, Ricky Lee Loftus, Adam Lyons, Callum MacDonald, Laura Mansell, Catherine Mort, James Paul McAllister, Robin Mills, Craig Ryder, Naomi Slights and Julie Yammanee.

Based on the film of the same name, Priscilla Queen of the Desert features pop songs including "Say A Little Prayer" and "Hot Stuff", and follows three friends travelling across Australia in a bus.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert runs at Manchester Opera House from 14-29 August 2015, Sunderland Empire (31 August-5 September), Mayflower Theatre Southampton (14-19 September), Regent Theatre Stoke (21-26 September), New Wimbledon Theatre (5-10 October), Theatre Royal Brighton (2-7 November), Congress Theatre Eastbourne (14-19 March 2016), Marlowe Theatre Canterbury (21-26 March), Kings Theatre Glasgow (29 March-2 April) and Torquay Princess Theatre (11-16 April).
