David Oakes

David Oakes began his career at Shakespeare’s Globe and has since appeared in numerous productions, including Hamlet at the Rose Theatre in York, Venus in Fur and Shakespeare in Love in the West End. Oakes has also participated in the “Read Not Dead” initiative at Shakespeare’s Globe and performed in a 90-minute abridged version of Much Ado About Nothing as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s “Complete Works” festival.

On screen, Oakes is best known for his roles in series such as The Pillars of the Earth, The Borgias, The White Queen, Victoria, and Vikings: Valhalla. He has also appeared in films like Cold Skin and The Garden of Evening Mists.
