Jack trained as an actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and was selected to take part in the Royal Court Young Writers Programme in 2014. He recently completed the Channel 4 Screenwriting Course and he is also under commission to the Almeida Theatre.
His debut play Cruise premiered at the Duchess Theatre in Summer 2021, reopening the West End to widespread critical acclaim. Cruise was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best New Play 2022 and its second sold-out run took place at the Apollo Theatre in August 2022 with its regional premiere taking place at HOME Manchester in August 2023. Cruise received its first international production in South Africa and a feature film of the production is currently in development.
Jack is also developing original tv and film with Working Title, Independent Entertainment, Fremantle, Genial, Turning Point Productions, and Michael Grandage Company. Jack has taken part in development Writer’s Rooms for Joi Productions and Genial.
As an actor, Jack was most recently seen in John Morton’s Ten Percent (Amazon) and Stefan Golaszewski’s Marriage (BBC One). He also performed in British independent films The Levelling and Journey’s End and in television drama for ITV, Channel 4 and Starz. Jack has performed on stage at the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Theatre Royal Bath, Bristol Old Vic, Nottingham Playhouse, Leicester Curve, Hampstead Theatre, the Almeida, and multiple times in the West End.
