Julia McDermott most recently starred in the hit solo play, Weather Girl at Edinburgh Festival Fringe to rave reviews (NY Times, Guardian, WhatsOnStage, Theatre Weekly, Time Out, The Scotsman) and received the festivals top awards including a Fringe First Award, the Lustrum Award, and The List’s Best International Production.

Weather Girl was produced by Francesca Moody (Fleabag, Baby Reindeer ) and written by Brian Watkins (Outer Range ). Recently, she starred in the short film Diviners opposite Lewis Pullman, directed by Brian Watkins (Savannah Film Festival, Montclair Film Festival). She starred on the ABC miniseries Women Of The Movement opposite Adrienne Warren, guest starred on Elsbeth (CBS) and recurred on Hulu’s Up Here .

Stage appearances include: the acclaimed, Heroes Of The Fourth Turning Off-Broadway (Pulitzer Prize Finalist, OBIE and Lucille Lortel Winner for Best Ensemble and Outstanding Play), Tennessee Williams’ Orpheus Descending at TFANA as ‘Carol’ opposite Maggie Siff; Epiphany by Brian Watkins with the Druid Company as part of the Galway International Arts Festival.

Graduate of The Juilliard School of Drama BFA.
