Lucy Moss co-created Six with Toby Marlow while they were in their final year at Cambridge University. The musical reimagines the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII as a modern pop concert. Six premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 and went on to achieve significant success in the West End and on Broadway. Moss became the youngest ever female director of a Broadway musical at the age of 26.

In addition to Six, Moss co-created Hot Gay Time Machine with Marlow and Zak Ghazi-Torbati.  She also directed the virtual benefit performance of Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical in 2021 and a new production of Legally Blonde: The Musical at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in 2022.

Six has received a number of WhatsOnStage Awards and was voted Best New Musical of the Decade by readers of WhatsOnStage. Moss and Marlow won the Tony Award for Best Original Score in 2022.

Moss was also nominated for a Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical alongside Jamie Armitage
