Steve Pemberton

Steve Pemberton is a British actor, comedian, director, and writer. He is best known for his work in the sketch comedy team The League of Gentlemen, which started as a stage act before transitioning to radio and television. Pemberton has also performed in various stage productions, including the Donmar’s 2011 production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and the 2023 revival of The Pillowman.

In addition to his theatre work, Steve Pemberton is widely recognized for co-creating and starring in the BAFTA award-winning series Inside No. 9. This critically acclaimed BBC TV series blends comedy and horror, featuring a collection of standalone episodes with unexpected twists and dark humour. The series has been adapted for the stage in a production titled Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright.
