The Theatre Royal in Glasgow, located at 282 Hope Street, is the oldest theatre in Glasgow and the longest running in Scotland. It opened in 1867 as the Royal Colosseum and Opera House and adopted the name Theatre Royal two years later. The theatre has a rich history, having survived two fires before the turn of the century. Over the years, it has hosted a wide variety of productions, including pantomimes, plays, comedies, harlequinades, and operas.
